Welcome Note from Preston Worley
Originally from nearby Richmond, I spent a lot of time here growing up, and especially since my time at UK when Lexington was my adopted home town, I’ve come to love this City and proudly call it home.
Lexington has afforded my wife and I many opportunities, and we are firm believers in giving back. I have found many ways to do that in the past and on the Urban County Council I have been honored to serve and through that service make our City even better.
I am excited to be a part of the next chapter of our City’s success, and my top priority on the Council is the 7th District.
We need to take a hard look at Crime in our City, and the people in the 7th District are concerned about property and violent crime in our neighborhoods.
We have important decisions to make concerning our parks in Lexington. The 7th District is home to great outdoor recreation like Lakeside Golfcourse and Jacobson Park. When we look to attract families to Lexington, an active outdoor community is important.
And we need to foster and celebrate our diversity. The 7th District is a very diverse district. I appreciate and enjoy working with our partners in all of the 7th District's neighborhoods from Squires to Andover Hills, Chilesburg to Woodhill, Fairways, Eastlake, and many many more. You are my neighbors and I am proud to work for you.
I am proud to be your Councilmember and I appreciate you support. We will work together to guide Lexington into its next great chapter.
